Northern Cyprus Flight Booking Tips
Let’s face it, the flight is usually the most annoying part of your holiday! You’ve been preparing for weeks and when the day arrives you can hardly contain your excitement. You get to the airport, check-in and go through passport control and security and into the departure lounge. By now you’re still excited but really you just want to get to North Cyprus and start your holiday, although there’s the issue of having to sit a plane for hours!
These hints and tips should help your flight to Northern Cyprus pass a little quicker and make sure you arrive bright and breezy!
Pre-book your seats
Most airlines now give you the option to pre-book your seats. By doing this it takes the worry out of wondering whether the whole family can sit together on your North Cyprus flight and you also have the option of booking ‘exit’ seats with extra legroom. Pegasus Airlines are one such airline who offer advanced seat booking for a minimal cost for your flight to North Cyprus.
Keeping healthy on-board
Many people are now aware of the problems which passengers can suffer from, with ailments such as DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis), and even though your Northern Cyprus flight is not a really long one you could still be at risk. DVT can affect anybody, young or old and fit and healthy, so you need to do all you can to try to prevent it.
It’s quite common to start taking aspirin several days before your flight as the drugs in aspirin serve to thin your blood and hence a thrombosis (or blood clot) is less likely to occur. If you’re unsure about taking aspirin, please consult your doctor before hand as to the benefits of doing so.
On-board you must make sure you keep yourself hydrated. Flights to North Cyprus, or for that matter to anywhere, put a certain amount of strain on your body. The air in the cabin is quite dry and if you feel like getting off to a head start with your holiday by having a few alcoholic drinks, this isn’t advisable. Alcohol only serves to dehydrate you further. The best course of action is to drink plenty of water.
Finally, try to ensure that you get up and walk around at least a couple of times during your North Cyprus flight as this ensures that your blood is flowing well and decreases the risk of DVT.
