A short history
Pegasus Airlines was founded in 1989 and began operating flights in 1990 as Turkish charter. The airline rapidly grew in popularity for domestic flights around Turkey and expanded its fleet of just two aircraft, up to seventeen.
In 2005, Pegasus Airlines began operating a scheduled flight service across Turkey and by the end of 2006 they made the step up the ladder to offer International scheduled flights. It is now one of the biggest airlines in Turkey, capable of carrying over 4 million passengers per year.
